Today's $800 million Mega Millions drawing is the 13th largest jackpot in lottery history

Tuesday night's $800 million Mega Millions drawing may be the 13th largest in U.S. lottery history, and no one has won the top prize since early June.

The 10:59 p.m. jackpot cash prize is an estimated $401.8 million. If someone wins, it will be the seventh-largest Mega Millions prize.

The top six jackpots are all worth more than $1 billion and have been won since 2018 in a game that began in 2002.

Tuesday's drawing from a television studio in Atlanta will be broadcast on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will post the winning numbers immediately after the drawing.

Four third-prize tickets were purchased in New Jersey for Friday's $740 million drawing.

A $20,000 ticket purchased with the Megaplier option was sold at the 7-Eleven on Tomlinson Mill Road in Medford, Burlington County, state lottery officials said. $10,000 tickets were sold at the following stores:

  • ShopRite on Route 35 in Hazlet, Monmouth County
  • EZ Chek on Main Street in Sayreville, Middlesex County
  • Mr. Mike's, a grocery store on Vauxhall Road in Union, Union County

Each third prize ticket contained four correct numbers plus the Mega Ball.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions winning numbers were: 6, 23, 41, 59 And 63The drawn Mega Ball was 25with a Megaplier from 2X.

Two Mega Millions jackpots have been won this year, including a $1.128 billion ticket that won the March 28 drawing and was sold at a ShopRite store in Neptune Township in Monmouth County.

An anonymous person won a jackpot of $552 million on a ticket sold for the June 4 drawing in Illinois.

The billion-dollar jackpot from March has still not been claimed, but the winner has one year from the drawing date to come forward.

Chances of winning and drawing times for Mega Millions

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays in 45 states, as well as Washington, DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 each.

The odds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot if it matches five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. The odds of players matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million are 1 in 12,607,306. The odds of a ticket matching four numbers and the Mega Ball winning a prize worth at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
