Release date of the Expanded Mourner's Edition

It will be another scary Friday the 13th. Eminem announced plans for his The Death of Slim Shady: Extended Obituary Edition on Tuesday (September 10).

The deluxe version of his 12th studio album will be available on streaming services on Friday and Em has released an ominous trailer to announce it.

In the ominous clip, Em searches for Slim Shady and finds a “Missing” sign on a milk carton that he leaves scattered on the floor of the gas station.

In The Alchemist, he plays the clerk who has to clean up Eminem's mess while demanding that he leave. “Fuck off,” he says in a New York accent as the Jelly Roll-backed “Somebody Save Me” blares from the store's speakers. “Don't come back. They don't pay me enough for this shit.”

Em captioned the post on social media: “MISSING: SLIM SHADY. Have you seen him? #TheDeathOfSlimShady. The Expanded Mourner's Edition is out this Friday the 13th…”

Fans were excited to hear that more new music is on the way after The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) came in July. “LET'S GO TDOSS WAS A MASTERPIECE MORE MUSIC,” one person wrote. Another chimed in hoping to see Em on tour: “We want a tour dude.”

It is still unclear how many additional tracks the deluxe version will include and whether there will be any special guests besides the Detroit icon.

Eminem released his The death of Slim Shady Album out July 12 with features from Big Sean, Jelly Roll, JID, BabyTron, Skylar Grey and more.

The LP — his first since 2020 Music to murder — debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 281,000 album-equivalent units earned in the U.S. for the week ending July 18, according to Luminate.
