Wanted murder suspect from Jackson arrested

JACKSON, Mississippi (WLBT) – Jackson police arrested a wanted murder suspect Tuesday.

According to investigators, Gennady Cobbins was arrested on several charges.

These include capital crimes, conspiracy to commit murder and shooting at an occupied vehicle.

The charges stem from a fatal shooting on August 8 on Jamaica Drive.

In addition, two other people were arrested.

On August 28, police arrested 20-year-old Demarcus Jones on charges of felony battery and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is being held in Madison County on other charges.

A few days earlier, on August 26, officers arrested 20-year-old Alexandria McDonald and charged her with aiding and abetting murder.
