Drunk driver arrested after highway crash in Hesperia – VVNG.com

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following an accident on the northbound side of the 15 Freeway, just south of Main Street.

The incident occurred on September 10, 2024 at 12:06 a.m. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs, a silver sedan and a dump truck were involved in the accident.

According to reports, the male driver of the sedan exited his vehicle after the incident and jumped over a fence onto Mariposa Avenue.

CHP records also indicated that the man was driving recklessly and may have been racing another vehicle prior to the crash.

After a breathalyzer test, the man was treated by paramedics for his injuries, including cuts to his hands and face. After receiving medical treatment, he was arrested.

The occupants of the dump truck were not injured, but one of the vehicle's rear tires was damaged.
