Man arrested for attempted murder in Thurston County – KIRO 7 News Seattle

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. – A man faces attempted murder and other charges after he was arrested following a suspicious call from a Thurston County resident.

On Monday, Thurston County Sheriff's Office officials investigated a mysterious call the dispatcher received.

According to the press release, the caller whispered that someone was in her house and needed help before the connection was disconnected.

Instead of calling back, dispatchers sent officers to the house, where they found the trunk and rear door of the car open.

Officials said the man entered the home with a gun and threatened to kill the woman. Officials determined the man was already in a relationship with the woman but had traveled from out of state to find her.

When officers searched the rental car, they found duct tape, zip ties and other materials.

TCSO also wrote: “The victim had never provided her location to the suspect, but he had somehow found out both her home and work addresses and had been in the area before.”

Officers arrested the man on suspicion of attempted premeditated murder, attempted kidnapping, burglary, stalking, harassment, malicious damage to property and possession of burglary tools.

At the arraignment, the judge found that there was sufficient suspicion for all charges and refused to grant bail.
