Week 5 Results and Scorecards | Dana White's Contender Series, Season 8

This week's fights spanned nearly every weight class in the UFC. The four pairs of athletes competed at UFC APEX to impress White and matchmaking duo Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard. They represent the flyweight, bantamweight, middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. The group includes a returning competitor, three undefeated up-and-comers and a Canadian originally slated for Season 7 who is now looking to finally get the Great White North up and running this year.

Tuesday's roster lost a fight during the broadcast, as the lightweight bout between Quemuel Ottoni and Kody Steele was canceled after Ottoni withdrew, changed his mind, and then changed his mind again. The undefeated Steele will face a new opponent later in the season, according to White.

In the fights that made it into the cage, the winners all put on impressive performances. Three of the four successful fighters made it to the Octagon: flyweight Nicolle Caliari, bantamweight Josias Musasa and light heavyweight Navajo Stirling all joined the list of fighters who advanced to the UFC roster from Season 8.
