Palm Coast man arrested for sexually abusing a minor

A Palm Coast man is in jail after being charged with sexual abuse of a minor following a 15-month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. “This is a disgusting case of a pervert and under Florida's new law he should get the death penalty or can get the death penalty. I don't know how the prosecution is going to charge, but he deserves it,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. Body camera footage shows the arrest of 21-year-old Joseph Horovsky of Palm Coast, seen wearing a dark shirt and blue shorts. He is accused of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12. The sheriff's office's major crimes division began investigating the case last June when the victim first came forward. The victim told investigators the abuse occurred over the past two to three years. The investigation includes at least five separate incidents in which the suspect sexually touched the girl, according to investigators. In one case, the victim was 10 at the time. She was 10 and he was 18 and 19 when this happened, and there's no telling how many other people he might have done this to. So we're going to continue all investigations if any more victims come forward,” Staly said. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant last Wednesday, and Horovsky was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation. “We've built a good enough case to arrest him and get an arrest warrant. And now it's up to the prosecutors, and I hope they'll prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, and if he doesn't get the death penalty, they'll throw him in jail for a very long time,” Staly said. Horovsky is being held in jail without bail.
