Some news about season 5 of “Only Murders In The Building”

Only Murders in the Building continues to be one of Hulu's biggest and most culturally significant hits. Now, with Season 4 in full swing, there's news of the show's fifth season. Can you guess what it is?

Yes, that's right, Only Murders in the Building was renewed for Season 5, which came about a week after the Season 4 premiere. It will again be ten episodes long and not shortened as we sometimes see.

The fourth season of Only Murders has fantastic critic and audience ratings of 95% and an overall score of 97% from critics and 91% from fans. Extremely good.

The series continues to attract more high-profile supporting actors, including It Doesn't Get Bigger Than Her actress Meryl Streep last season. This season we've already seen Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zack Galifianakis (as herself), and Kumail Nanjiani will soon have a significant role. Also returning from last year is Jane Lynch, who is the murder case in season 4, although she's now haunting as a ghost. Amy Ryan has also returned briefly so far. That's a lot.

If you haven't seen it for yourself yet, here is the official synopsis:

“Three strangers obsessed with true crime find themselves caught up in one. When a grisly death occurs in their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspect murder and use their intimate knowledge of true crime to uncover the truth. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell each other. Soon, the endangered trio realizes that a killer may be living among them as they try to decipher the mounting clues before it's too late.”

The series has received numerous Emmy nominations, including nominations for its stars Steve Martin, Maritn Short and Selena Gomez. It has 49 nominations in total, but has only won four in an increasingly competitive television market. It has 21 nominations at the last few Emmys alone.

There is no sign that Only Murders in the Building has an end in sight. It seems like a show that could go on forever, however unlikely it may be that murders will continue to happen in the building and that the murderers will continue to be there. But the concept is meant to be pretty silly, so it always works. Or at least it has for four seasons.

The show currently airs weekly on Hulu and Season 4 runs until the end of October.
