Hurricane Francine: Tracking power outages in New Orleans

The WDSU First Warning Weather team is tracking Hurricane Francine. The storm is expected to become a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall Wednesday. Power outages are likely as strong hurricane-force winds are expected across Louisiana. Entergy is reporting more than 5,000 people without power in Jefferson Parish. Entergy is aware of the outage and its teams are on the scene. They also told WDSU they do not believe the outage is storm-related and the cause is still under investigation.
