“Heartbroken that they let her go”

Fans of Saturday Night Live were completely stunned on the evening of September 9th when the news became known that Chloe Trosta fan-favorite newcomer to the sketch comedy series, was not expected to return for a second season.

Deadline broke the news late in the afternoon, and Troast confirmed it later that evening in a statement on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I was not asked back, SNL this season,” she wrote. “I wish I could go back to all the amazing friends I made there. It really did feel like home. But that wasn't on the agenda.”
