Dave Grohl is said to have cheated on his ex Tina Basich years before the baby scandal

Dave Grohl is said to have a past of infidelity.

More than 20 years before the 55-year-old musician admitted to cheating on his wife Jordyn Blum and fathering a child out of wedlock, his ex-girlfriend Tina Basich accused him of dating another woman while they were together for two years in the late 1990s.

Basich, 55, wrote in her 2003 memoir, “Pretty Good for a Girl: The Autobiography of a Snowboarding Pioneer,” that Grohl was too “busy” with his career at the time to make her a priority.

“The pressure was too much for our relationship,” she wrote. “You can only give up so much of your heart, your career, your time and your spirit, and here I was, giving it all up for a guy and losing myself in the process.”

“I felt like I was stealing time from his career, which was his priority – and that I was completely pushing mine into the background without even realizing it,” she added.

The professional snowboarder then directly accused Grohl of cheating on her.

“I don't know how someone in their profession can have a normal relationship with a girlfriend… or two, as it turns out,” she said.

Basich claimed she learned of Grohl's alleged infidelity “second-hand, through the grapevine” and that it felt like “everyone else in the world knew about it except me.”

She said she was “so disappointed” in herself for “letting herself be manipulated” by Grohl.

“Breakups suck. But rock star departures are the worst,” she says in her book. “All I got was a five-minute phone call from him after five weeks of calling and trying to reach him because I just had to know if these rumors were true and had to hear it straight from the source. Nothing came.”

After dumping Basich, the Foo Fighters frontman reportedly “disappeared from the scene” in Basich's world, but otherwise “he was everywhere because the articles were in all the magazines because he was just finishing up a press tour for his new album.”

“Even worse were the many calls from people who wanted to tell me everything they had about him, as if that would somehow comfort me.”

She said she “couldn't stop thinking about him” and “purposely didn't watch MTV because his video seemed to be playing all the time, and I didn't listen to the radio because his single was climbing the charts.”

“I was shopping a few days after we broke up and heard the elevator music version of 'Learn to Fly' which gave me an instant stomachache. Then I saw him on the cover of Guitar magazine, staring at me in line at the checkout,” Basich wrote.

“I didn't know how to deal with it. I thought I'm just not that strong,” she added.

The Post has asked Basich for comment.

On Tuesday, Grohl announced on Instagram that he and his wife Jordyn had recently had a child with an illegitimate woman.

“I recently became the father of a baby girl, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl said in a statement.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her. I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued. “We are grateful for your consideration for all of the children involved as we move forward together.”

A spokesman for Grohl told the Washington Post that the musician had no further comment.

Grohl has three daughters with Blum: Violet Maye (18), Harper Willow (15) and Ophelia Saint (10). He confirmed that his new child is also a girl.

The singer and his wife were spotted at Wimbledon in July, just weeks before he announced his infidelity.

The couple tied the knot in a ceremony at their Los Angeles home on August 2, 2003. They had met two years earlier when Grohl performed at the Sunset Marquis with his former bandmate Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022.

In a resurfaced interview with Q magazine, Grohl said he acted “like an idiot” and called Blum his “future ex-wife” on the night they met.

The rocker ignored Blum afterward because he “wasn’t ready for a serious relationship,” he told Elle in 2007.

However, he eventually changed his mind after Hawkins overdosed in 2001 and decided to settle down.

Before meeting Blum, Grohl was married to Jennifer Youngblood, whom he also allegedly cheated on.
