Chappell Roan brings her own rug to reveal her outfit change

Chappell Roan has arrived at the 2024 MTV VMAs and she looks HOTTOGO!

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer, who is nominated for four awards including Best New Artist, arrived at the annual New York event in a medieval outfit, complete with a green cape over a sheer maroon dress. Her signature red hair completed the look, as it was half up in a braided bun and the rest fell down her back. Her accessories stole the show, however, as the “Pink Pony Club” singer brought her own rug and sword. (Click here to see all the red carpet fashion.)

And since she's used to speaking volumes with her outfit, she hinted during the show that her fans would understand what inspired her look.

“It's a harbinger of what's to come,” the 26-year-old said exclusively E! News correspondent Will Marfugi. “Take it all in.”

The singer of “Red Wine Supernova” is nominated for best new artist – alongside Benson Boone, Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Teddy swims And Tyla— as well as Best Trending Video for “Hot To Go!”, MTV Push Performance of the Year for “Red Wine Supernova” and Song of the Summer for “Good Luck, Babe!” And after her meteoric rise to fame earlier this year, she's still processing the comparisons to her pop idols.
