RFK Jr. tells Fox News that Harris “clearly won the debate” and Trump was “distracted”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes Vice President Kamala Harris “clearly” won Tuesday night’s debate against former President Donald Trump, even though he endorsed the Republican candidate just a few weeks ago.

The former presidential candidate told Fox News hosts on Wednesday that the vice president seemed more sophisticated than the former president.

“Vice President Harris clearly won the debate in terms of her manner, her elegance, her organization and her preparation. I think in terms of substance, President Trump wins in terms of his governance, but he didn't say that,” RFK Jr. said.

The independent candidate withdrew and endorsed Trump in late August, but Kennedy has been unimpressed with his recent performance. Watch RFK Jr.'s comments below.

“He got distracted, and I think that's unfortunate because I think he had really strong arguments for his presidency, but he was unable to communicate them to the American public,” he said.

Kennedy also criticized the moderators, saying they did not check Harris' statements once. During the debate, ABC news anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis intervened four times to check the former president's statements.

Since dropping out of the race, Kennedy has been in the midst of a federal investigation. After his daughter's memory of her father cutting off the head of a dead whale and strapping it to the roof of his car went viral, the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund argued that he should be charged with a crime.
