Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark reached another WNBA milestone on Sunday, becoming the fastest player in league history to reach 300 career assists in her team's 104-100 overtime win over the Atlanta Dream.

The 22-year-old scored 26 points and added 12 assists and five rebounds in the Fever's comeback win, recording her 14th double-double of the season, a franchise record. She also sank four three-pointers, bringing her season total to 111 and extending the rookie record she set in late August.

Clark's performance was an impressive night for the last three WNBA numbers.
1 draft picks. Aliyah Boston, the No. 1 overall pick in 2023, led the Fever in scoring with 30 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while the Dream's Rhyne Howard — the first pick in 2022 — exploded with 36 points.

Indiana struggled at times throughout the game, entering halftime with 12 turnovers, while Atlanta had one. With just under seven minutes left in the third quarter, the Dream built a 16-point lead, but the Fever closed the quarter on an 18-5 run and cut the lead to three points by the fourth quarter.

Atlanta extended its lead to nine points in the fourth quarter, but was caught again by Indiana: A layup by Boston after Clark's tenth assist tied the game at 90-90 with 18 seconds left.

It took overtime to separate the two teams, and the Fever eventually took the lead. Two free throws by Clark in the final seconds of the game decided the game and put Indiana at 19-17 on the season.

“I think we just kept going, made stops when we needed to, and then the crowd was great and helped us get it done,” Clark said on the field after the game.

The Fever secured a playoff spot on September 3, reaching the postseason for the first time since 2016.

“Right now we're in a situation where we just have to keep our foot on the gas,” Boston said. “I think we know we're capable of beating any single team just because of the way we play, the pace we play and the weapons we have all over the court.”

“Even if we're behind, no matter what time of year it is, we're definitely capable of coming back.”

NaLyssa Smith of the Fever scores a layup during the game.

The loss was a blow to the Dream's hopes of securing the league's eighth and final playoff spot. Atlanta is now 12-23 and ninth in the overall WNBA standings, one game behind the Chicago Sky.

Tina Charles and Jordin Canada each scored 17 points for the Dream, while Allisha Gray was the team's fourth player in double figures with 15.
