Melissa Gorga reacts to “Crazy and Genius” RHONJ leaks

Melissa Gorga spoke again about the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 leaks. For those who missed these leaks, here's a refresher.

During Season 14 of RHONJ, certain cast members have been leaking episode screeners and behind-the-scenes information to social media accounts and bloggers (please not us). These screeners have motivated these internet users to spread certain stories about the show.

In particular, they were asked to talk about certain RHONJ cast members. Fans and media outlets in particular accused Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin of leaking stories. Recently, Melissa shared some further thoughts on the whole matter.

Melissa Gorga accuses leakers of trying to produce the show

Melissa recently appeared on the September 11 episode of No Filter With Zack Peter, where she talked about “how our colleagues were talking to bloggers and giving them screeners.” She called such actions “crazy and genius” and compared the strategy to that of a “mastermind.” According to Mel, it was the behavior of someone who “really wanted to try and win.”

“If you have actors who encourage [bloggers]and call them personally? Now your favorite reality star is calling you. Then you're going to ramp it up, I think, and take it to the next level and make some of the other cast members as unhappy as possible.” In fact, the cast members have taken advantage of their fans.

That's why, Melissa said, Bravo had to step in at that point. She then explained that it didn't take long to realize that prominent social media users were coming down so hard on certain cast members that they had to have been on someone's payroll. “If cast members are going to go to that extent and live and breathe the show… maybe it's time to take a break.”

Melissa argued that better reality TV comes from a lack of investment in cameras. Ergo: true reality. “Live your life, speak your truth.” Melissa then compared the leakers to wannabe show producers who try to orchestrate everything their own way.
