Orlando Bloom introduces Katy Perry by her birth name at the MTV VMAs

“Bring on our latest video Vanguard, Katherine HudsonBloom said on stage at New York's UBS Arena, referring to the singer's birth name before adding: “Katy Perry!”

“You fell in love with her as Katy Perry, I fell in love with her as Katheryn Hudson,” he added. “You know her as a global superstar who brings love, light and her unique sense of humor to every song she writes and every music video she creates.”

Bloom praised the Grammy winner for her role as mother to her four-year-old daughter daisy.

“I know her as a mother, as a partner who brings the same feeling of love and joy to our family,” enthused the 47-year-old. “She loves with all her heart and that is somehow irresistible. Congratulations on this honorary baby, I am so proud of you.”
