They've given themselves some breathing room against the Orioles, but there's no time to rest. Tonight begins a big four-game series with the arch-rival Red Sox, with Nestor Cortes getting the ball in the first game.

This morning, check out Sam's review of last night's AL action, Matt's preview of the series with the Red Sox, and my look back 25 years ago when Roger Clemens got off to another ill-fated start. Plus, Nick Power analyzes what Clarke Schmidt needs to do to earn a spot in the Yankees' playoff rotation, while Jeff Marcus discusses Stroman's dubious attempt to earn a spot in the rotation.
