Harris wants to campaign “more aggressively” after the debate, the campaign says

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign visits following the debates in North Carolina and Pennsylvania on Thursday and Friday marked the beginning of a “more aggressive” campaign phase, her campaign team said.

Harris will hold two rallies in North Carolina and one in Pennsylvania to kick off her “New Way Forward Tour.” Her campaign said the tour was designed to “capitalize on her decisive victory” against former President Donald Trump in the ABC News debate.

The campaign said Harris gave such a “compelling debate performance” that it went through the footage on Wednesday to identify moments that could be used in its ads in the coming days.

During this phase, the vice president will also have more media appearances, aimed primarily at swing states and other important voting groups, the campaign said. Interviews with local media are planned in the next few days. Next week, she will also take part in a discussion with the National Association of Black Journalists.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff as well as Governor Tim Walz and Gwen Walz will also be on tour.

Emhoff will be in Arizona and Nevada on Thursday; Governor Walz will be in Michigan on Thursday and Wisconsin on Friday; and Mrs. Walz will be in New Hampshire on Thursday.

The campaign's new tour will also feature replacement events, including a Republicans for Harris event in Phoenix, Arizona, an event for HBCU students in Savannah, Georgia, and an event for veterans and military families in Columbus, Georgia.
