Toy magnate who sold his mansion at $6 million discount sues real estate agent after finding out the buyer was Jeff Bezos

Dana Clayton, Mr Kryss’s lawyer, said: “Douglas Elliman has [its] Obligations towards our customers. [It] knew or should have known who the ultimately profitable buyer was and misrepresented this very important fact to our client.”

According to legal documents, both brokers denied knowledge of the buyer's identity.

A hearing is scheduled for October 11.

The Telegraph has contacted Jeff Bezos and Amazon for comment.

It is common for celebrities to keep their identities secret when purchasing a property. This is often done to protect their privacy by purchasing the property through a trust.

Indian Creek is located on an artificial island in Miami's Biscayne Bay, which was voted the most expensive residential area in the USA in 2001.

Mr Bezos bought a third property on the island this year for $90 million. His neighbors include Tom Brady, David Guetta and Ivanka Trump.
