Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty announce engagement | Ents & Arts News

Holly Ramsay has announced her engagement to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

The 24-year-old daughter of a TV chef Gordon Ramsay announced the news in a social media post.

“I'm marrying my best friend,” she wrote on Instagramnext to photos of the couple and the engagement ring on her finger.

“I really can't put into words how I feel right now… Thank you for making the little girl inside me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you and can't wait to be your wife.”

She added that she would “always be there” for the former Strictly Come Dancing star Peatyand his son George.

“Everything is better with you. Everything is better since you. Forever,” she added.

Peaty said he was the “luckiest man in the world” when he later posted about the engagement on his Instagram page.

“I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife,” he wrote.

“I am truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace.”

He said Ramsay was “there at my lowest points and helped me understand myself and navigate through my own darkness.”

“They also celebrated the many highlights, because for the first time in my life I am happy with the man I have become,” he said.

“They came to church with me and, without question, joined the incredible community we have there.”

The 29-year-old athlete added: “When I saw how much love you have for the most important person in my life, George, from day one there was never a question in my mind whether you would one day be my wife.

“I look forward to our life together and the many challenges that lie ahead. I promise to always love you with all my heart.”

Ramsay and Peaty also quoted passages from the Bible. In another Instagram story post, the swimmer also revealed that he worked with a jeweler on the ring for ten months.

Peaty, who missed the 2022 World Aquatics Championships after breaking his foot in a bizarre training accident, previously admitted to falling into a “self-destructive spiral” after the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which led to him taking a break from swimming training.

The three-time Olympic champion won silver at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

He separated from his girlfriend of three years – and mother of his son – in August 2022.

The former Strictly The star took part in the 19th season of the BBC One dance show in 2021 and reached the seventh week, where he finished ninth with his professional partner Katya Jones.

Ramsay's sister Tilly, who was a contestant the same year as Peaty and partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, was one of the first to congratulate the couple in the comments section of her sister's post.

“I couldn't be more happy for you both!! I love you guys,” she wrote.
