“Blue Period,” a popular manga series in Kodansha’s “Afternoon” (written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi), is an art-related coming-of-age manga about a hard-working Yankee with a positive attitude towards life and his application to an art school, which won the Manga Grand Prize in 2020. It was adapted into an animated television series in 2021 and a live-action film in July 2024.

“Blue Period” and the online liquor store “Cland” are collaborating on this project! The cooperation sake “Murai Yakumo”, based on the character Yakumo Murai, will be gradually delivered from mid-December 2024!

“村井八雲” – Translation

The concept of “Murai Yakumo” is the sake that the main character Hachitora and his friends drank together when they visited Hiroshima, the birthplace of their classmate Yakumo. The original label is inspired by the Kakinokizaka family studio where they worked and contains the word “ Yakumo ” with impressive design. The contents come from a sake brewery in Hiroshima Prefecture!

Inside is a Junmai Ginjo Sake, made from the original Hiroshima Prefecture sake rice “Moeibuki” by Umeda Shuzojo, a sake brewery in Hiroshima Prefecture. It has a wonderful green apple-like Ginjo aroma, a rounded mouthfeelAnd A pleasant gentle sweetness!
