Human remains found on Phoenix Mountain are those of missing Peoria teenager

Human remains found along a mountain range in Phoenix have been identified as those of a missing Peoria teenager, police said.

According to Peoria police, 16-year-old Bradley Klose reported missing on April 8 after he was last seen leaving work near 75th Avenue and Jomax Road.

On September 9, police investigated a death near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road after Skeletal remains were found in the area.

The victim has since been identified as Klose. Police say there does not appear to have been a crime and are not seeking any suspects.

“This is obviously not the outcome that everyone was hoping for and we would like to extend our condolences to Bradley's family who have since been informed of his death,” police said. “We would also like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and concern.”

Statement from Klose's family

“This is a heartbreaking end to the search for Bradley. Our family is grieving and politely requests privacy as we work through this difficult time. While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we thank God for answering our prayers and bringing Bradley into the light. We want to thank all of our friends, neighbors, community and Peoria Police for not giving up the search.”
