Actor James Hollcroft, 26, found dead after his disappearance

A 26-year-old actor known for his work in the Mexican entertainment industry has died after being reported missing on September 3, according to a media report and social media posts.

Family members of James Hollcroft confirmed his death last weekend. New York Post reported on Tuesday, September 10th.

Hollcroft appeared in Mexican shows, such as the drama How do I say this?said the newspaper.

In an Instagram post on September 7, Jane Hollcroft, James' sister, wrote: “I will love you forever. Thank you for the years we spent together and for giving me the greatest moments I have ever experienced. You will always be in our hearts little brother.”

James Hollcroft's brother-in-law Arturo Avila Meija also paid tribute to the actor in an Instagram post on September 7, writing: “I wish everything was just another dream.”

“Thank you for being the brother you were, the uncle to your nephews, the great son you were. This really breaks my soul. The curtain is coming down here today, but you are in heaven, standing on the big stage you talked so much about,” Mejia continued.

“Thank you for everything you taught me, for always listening to me, for the sympathy you always caressed. You had a unique essence that was always there. Every year I eagerly awaited your return home and experienced those crazy conversations that lasted for hours and made the time fly by,” he added.

“I love you little brother, I will always carry you in my heart, my dear Hollywood James Hollcroft,” Mejia concluded.

Hollcroft reportedly worked and trained at CEA Televisa, a Mexico City-based media company whose studios are not far from his home. In a statement on its Facebook account, the company paid tribute to the late actor: “Thank you for all the good times we spent together during your acting training.”

“Thank you for all the wonderful times we spent together during your acting training,” her message continued. “We will carry you in our memories and in our hearts. You will always be a part of our CEA family. We will always see you, dear James Hollcroft.”

PEOPLE contacted Mexico City police, CEA Televlsa, Arturo Avila Meija and Jane Hollcroft on Thursday, September 12, for more information, but they did not immediately respond.
