Stevens Point man killed in motorcycle crash in Portage County Thursday

HULL – A 47-year-old Stevens Point man died after a motorcycle crash late Thursday morning in Portage County.

According to a press release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred around 11:51 a.m. Thursday on Wilshire Boulevard near North Point Drive in the city of Hull.

A 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Wilshire Boulevard when it left the road, entered the east ditch and crashed. The 47-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle died of his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, the press release said.

The Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Stevens Point Police Department, Stevens Point Fire Department, Portage County Sheriff's Office, City of Hull Fire Department and the Portage County Coroner.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident along with the Stevens Point Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
