Man in critical condition after running into street following fight in Albany

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – One man is in critical condition and another received medical treatment following a fight at the Albany Transportation Center.

According to Albany police, two people were involved in a fight in the 300 block of W. Oglethorpe Blvd. A 24-year-old man who was involved in the fight subsequently left the center and ran into traffic, where he was struck by a vehicle.

According to APD, the man was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition. The other party involved in the fight is also receiving medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle remained uninjured.

This accident remains under investigation by the APD Traffic Unit.
