East Irondequoit school administrator allegedly displayed weapon during roadside incident

Ontario, NY – An assistant superintendent of the East Irondequoit Central School District is facing charges following a roadside accident, The Times of Wayne County newspaper reports.

The incident reportedly occurred Wednesday afternoon on State Route 104, which begins in Webster and ends across the county line near Lakeside Road in Ontario.

Mark Anson, 47, of Ontario, allegedly showed another driver a gun while “words were exchanged” as their two vehicles were pulled over to the side of the road shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Four hours later, Anson was arrested at his home by New York State Police.

Anson, who is listed as an assistant principal for education in East Irondequoit, faces charges of menacing and illegal possession of a firearm.

After being charged, he was released and scheduled to appear in Ontario Municipal Court.

The district said in a statement that it was aware of the incident but could not comment further.
