Kevin Hart criticizes Delaware State University during “Fight Night” promo

Comedian Kevin Hart recently took a dig at Delaware State University in an interview on the radio show “The Breakfast Club” while promoting his brand new Peacock series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.”

During Hart's interview, which premiered on Friday, September 6, on the YouTube channel “The Breakfast Club,” he was disrespectful to DelState, claiming the school is “not an HBCU,” and bad-mouthing the students.

“I know where Delaware State is. That's… that's just a bunch of n—-s on campus, that's it,” Hart said. “Delaware State University is just a bunch of… n—-s in Delaware.”

Hart attacked the Hornets in front of the Breakfast Club's YouTube audience, a channel with 5.59 million subscribers.

Why did Kevin Hart attack Delaware State University?

Kevin Hart attends the world premiere of Peacock's “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” at Jazz at Lincoln Center on September 4, 2024 in New York City.

Hart's controversial comments about the DSU began after the Breakfast Club cast showed Hart that they had created a mural of him on the back of their office door. The painting featured him and other black legends such as Samuel L. Jackson, Chadwick Boseman, Will Smith, and Martin Lawrence.

The show's co-host, DJ Envy, made fun of Hart's small stature in the mural. That's when Hart noticed that DJ Envy, a graduate of Howard University, an HBCU, had a Howard football helmet on his desk.
