The rookie stars of the MLB 2024: Where Chourio, Merrill and Skenes stand

Ahead of the 2024 MLB season, a large group of talented top prospects were knocking on the door of the big leagues. Over the past few weeks, many of these young players have shown what the hype was about as major league rookies, while simultaneously falling out of consideration for my top 100 list.

Once they graduate, it's easy for me to stop evaluating these players and instead chase the shiny object of new talent. So here I see the rookies developing into veterans of the big leagues. Keep in mind that this list is more about the long-term value of the young stars, not their expected Rookie of the Year ranking or their 2024 stats. Shota Imanaga or Yoshinobu Yamamoto aren't included because they were never part of my talent rankings as international pros.

From a trio of franchise cornerstones to a strong supporting cast, let's rank the top 15 players who rose from rookie prospects to major league contributors this season.
