Drug and Firearm Seizure – Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

On September 9, 2024, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Police and Narcotics Unit conducted a traffic stop of a GMC Arcadia at Oporto Madrid Boulevard and 4th Avenue South. The result of the traffic stop and further investigation resulted in an arrest and seizure of drugs and a weapon.

The suspect was identified as: Eddie Lee Turner, Jr., 25, of Birmingham, Alabama. The suspect is charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute each with a $20,000.00 bond, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance each with a $10,000.00 bond, and First Degree Possession of Marijuana each with a $10,000.00 bond. Total bond: $60,000.00. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

Drugs seized: 14.3 grams of crack cocaine; 5 Xana pills; 3.5 grams of hydrocodone; 1 gram of MDMA and 34 grams of marijuana

Confiscated weapon: Glock 19 pistol
