Turning Point USA brings the “You’re Being Brainwashed Tour” to Penn State on September 19th

Penn State spokeswoman Lisa Powers issued a statement to Onward State regarding Charlie Kirk and the Turning Point USA event.

Conservative political activist Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA return to Penn State on Thursday, September 19 with their “You're Being Brainwashed Tour.”

Kirk is a controversial political figure who founded Turning Point USA to advocate for conservative policies in high schools and universities. Kirk has previously been on the Penn State campus, including in 2019 alongside Donald Trump Jr. for a lecture on campus.

According to a release Turning Point USA's website says the tour is “designed to provide college students with the principles and tools they need to counter left-wing indoctrination on campus.” Kirk will appear at the event with “special guests.”

“The tour will feature TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk and special guests,” the press release states. “Together, they will speak to thousands of students and share their views on free speech, the role of government and the importance of upholding conservative values ​​in higher education.”

The press release also stated that the event would provide students with the opportunity to “engage in thought-provoking discussions, ask questions, and connect with like-minded individuals committed to defending conservative principles.”

Penn State is one of five schools the tour will visit in the coming weeks. Turning Point USA will also perform in Wisconsin, Colorado, North Texas, Kansas State and Pitt.

Penn State did not immediately respond to Onward State's request for comment on the event.
