This is by far the worst thing I have seen today

I woke up not knowing that today would be the day I would hear Joseph Gordon-Levitt sing, “You wouldn't know it from the news, but immigrants have a lower crime rate,” but alas, it does. And now you're here with me!

On Wednesday evening, September 11,The New York Times Opinion section tweeted a “parody” video by Gordon-Levitt, who “humorously” offers “the debate summary you didn't know you needed” in verse. What follows is a 2016-style media piece reminiscent of Kate McKinnon singing: “Hallelujah.”

Maybe it's just my imagination, but Donald Trump says, “They eat the dogs.”
They eat the cats” through Auto-Tune is pretty creepy. It's really not funny! It's rhetoric that could easily cost someone their life.

But don't take it personally if I'm a spoilsport!

Gordon-Levitt as moderator “asks” Kamala Harris and Trump questions like “How can the average girl afford a nice bag of pizza rolls?” (about inflation) and, even worse, “A foreign policy success is having a lot of friends. But could you join forces against our enemies? Because they keep trying to start shit.” Swap “enemies” for allies and You're right!

From there, things continue to develop.
