Victim of electrocution dies of injuries in hospital | Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) – A victim who was hospitalized after being electrocuted in Iowa City on Wednesday has succumbed to his injuries.

At around 9:53 a.m. Wednesday, Iowa City police and fire departments were called to Herbert Hoover Highway and Eastbury Drive for a report of an electrocution.

The emergency services arrived at the scene at around 9:58 a.m. and began providing medical care to the patient.

The victim, whose identity could not be established, was taken to hospital and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

In a statement, ImOn Communications said the victim was an employee of the company.

This is a heartbreaking loss for the ImOn Communications family and our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues at this incredibly difficult time. We are working closely with the authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
