AMBER ALERT CANCELLED: Missing child found safe and sound

WICHITA, Kansas (WIBW) – Authorities have tracked down the child kidnapped at gunpoint in Wichita. The child is safe with the Wichita Police Department.

According to the KBI, Trevawn Strong Sr. stabbed the mother and kidnapped his son, Trevawn Strong Jr., during a domestic incident Wednesday afternoon. He left the Wichita home at 2025 S. Grove just before 5 p.m. The vehicle he was in was found in the 1900 block of N. Woodlawn.

Trevawn Strong Jr. is 5 years old and is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes and a ponytail.

His father is approximately 5'10″ tall and weighs 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and red shoes. He also has tattoos on his arms, face, chest, and neck.
