Riverside Church pastor arrested after two brothers accused him of sexual abuse

Riverside police arrested a pastor on Sunday after two brothers accused him of sexual abuse.

According to investigators, 51-year-old Juan Barrios sexually abused the two brothers between 2009 and 2015. The boys' family lived with the pastor in his house in Riverside at the time.

Barrios served as pastor of the Iglesia de Dios Israelita in Fullerton.

Police arrested him on Sunday on multiple counts of sexual assault. He was released after paying a $500,000 fine.

The department began investigating after one of the brothers told police that Barrios had sexually abused him since he was 9 years old. The abuse allegedly continued into his teenage years after his younger brother made similar allegations.

As of Thursday, no charges had been filed against Barrios.
