Clermont woman accused of killing her husband testifies in murder trial – WFTV

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Laurie Shaver took the witness stand Thursday during her murder trial.

She is accused of murdering her husband Michael and burying his body in her backyard.

For over two hours, Shaver described what happened the day Michael Shaver was shot.

Laurie's 15-year-old daughter also testified on Thursday – the defense claimed that she, not Laurie, pulled the trigger.

Prosecutors questioned Laurie's ex-boyfriend on Thursday morning about his possible involvement in Michael's death.

Prosecutors completed their investigation on Thursday morning.
