Advance ticket sales for “Something in the Water” begin Friday morning

Tickets for Pharrell Williams’ Something in the Water music festival will go on sale soon for Virginia residents.

The special “locals only” sale begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. Friday at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater box office at 3550 Cellar Door Way in Virginia Beach. The festival schedule is also expected to be announced Friday.

The festival, created in 2019 by Virginia Beach native Williams, features concerts on the beach at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Oct. 12 and 13. And on Friday morning, music fans with a Virginia zip code can purchase either a general two-day festival pass for $180 or a VIP two-day festival pass for $450. IDs will be checked.

“Something in the Water” last took place in April 2023 and featured rappers such as Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky and Busta Rhymes as well as the popular folk group Mumford & Sons as headliners.

This year, the festival was moved to the fall to coincide with the release of the Lego-themed animated film “Piece by Piece,” about Williams’ life.
