Karl Rove turns Donald Trump's insult to Kamala Harris around and applies it to the former president

Longtime GOP strategist Karl Rove, a key figure in George W. Bush's two runs at the White House, used one of Donald Trump's disparaging descriptions of his Democratic rival Kamala Harris to ask the ex-president a scathing question himself.

Trump was “crushed” by Harris during Tuesday's presidential debate, Rove said in his recent column for the Wall Street Journal, echoing similar comments from numerous other conservative commentators.

Rove, who also works as a political contributor for Fox News, called Trump's previous insult to Harris in July “dumb as a rock” and wrote, “This begs the question: What does that make him?”

With this question, Rove concluded his scathing critique of Trump's performance during the debate, calling it “a disaster” for the former president and “far worse than Team Trump could have ever imagined.”

Trump “allowed his emotions to get the better of him” and “did a terrible job of connecting them to President Biden's failed policies,” Rove said.

Harris “appeared calm, confident, strong and focused on the future,” while Trump “appeared hot-headed, angry and fixated on the past, especially his own,” he added.
