Elderly woman in critical condition after pedestrian accident in north Laredo

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – McPherson Road has been reopened following a car-pedestrian accident that occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, September 13th.

Laredo police report that the victim, a woman in her 70s, was found unconscious at the scene of the crash and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

During the investigation, northbound traffic on McPherson Road and Andrew Lane was closed, but has since reopened.

Laredo Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

Laredo Police responded to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in north Laredo shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

According to police, an elderly woman was found unconscious at the corner of McPherson Road and Del Mar Boulevard.

People travelling by car in this area are advised to exercise caution.

For the duration of the investigation, all northbound traffic on McPherson Road and Andrew Lane will be closed.
