Kamari Balton

Kamari Balton, 26, was arrested Friday morning in Platte County after a warrant was issued in Cole County, according to Jefferson City police.

Police say Balton's arrest is related to an Aug. 17 incident at Twisted Chicks, 2713 Industrial Drive. At 1:43 a.m., police received reports of a disturbance that left a person unconscious on the ground, according to the police department.

Officers found 59-year-old Rafael Ayala unconscious at the scene and took him to University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Balton is being held without bail in the Platte County Jail awaiting extradition to Cole County.
