Georgia cornerback Daniel Harris was arrested Thursday night on minor driving offenses, including reckless driving, according to Athens-Clarke County police records. Harris, who was released at 11:49 p.m. ET on a total of $50 bail, was also charged with placing materials obstructing visibility on windows/windshields, failure to have proof of insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle without a valid license plate.

According to police, Harris was driving at a speed of 106 miles per hour.

Harris, a former four-star Class of 2023 prospect from Miami, Florida, has played a key role in Georgia's defensive rotation this season. The sophomore is one of the first cornerbacks off the bench and competed against both Clemson and Tennessee Tech, where he totaled four tackles.

Harris also played in six games as a freshman last season and recorded his first tackle in Georgia's win over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

This is the 21st individual case since January 2023 in which someone from the Georgia football program has been arrested for traffic violations. Harris is the fifth Georgia player arrested for reckless driving since March. That number also includes star running back Trevor Etienne Jr., who was suspended for Georgia's season-opening win over Clemson. The former Florida transfer returned in Week 2 against Tennessee Tech and rushed for 78 yards on just five carries.
