Elijah Vue dead: Two Rivers police confirm discovery of remains

TWO RIVERS, Wisconsin. – Two Rivers police confirmed that human skeletal remains found last week were that of Elijah Vue, and an Amber Alert issued after the 3-year-old's disappearance in February has been lifted.

The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office said a deer hunter found the remains in a wooded area of ​​Two Rivers on Sept. 7. The find was made in private land near a quarry and Camp Manitou. On Friday, the remains were confirmed to be Vue's.

Vue disappeared from his Two Rivers home in February. Vue's mother, Katrina Baur, and her boyfriend, Jesse Vang, remain in jail – both charged with child neglect, although they are not directly connected to his disappearance.
