College football tips and bets for Friday

Last week, Kansas State allowed Tulane, a program that has undergone major upheaval from the previous year, 8.8 yards per play, including 10.4 yards per dropback.

The Wave produced an impressive nine explosive passing plays in their 34-27 home loss to the Wildcats.

Of course I'm worried about Kansas State's defense, especially against Arizona on Friday.

Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan are among the best quarterback-wideout combinations in college football and have already combined for 315 yards and four touchdowns on 12 receptions (26.3 YPR) in the first two weeks.

Behind those two, Arizona ranks 17th nationally in EPA per dropback. The duo could tear Kansas State apart.

I'm not a huge fan of Arizona's defense, and Kansas State could completely overrun their inexperienced front seven.

But Arizona's experienced secondary could prevent KSU from creating big passing plays at will.

Kansas State may be a bit overrated. The team is 19-8 since the start of 2022, but needed a +22 turnover differential to get there.

The sales luck will inevitably diminish.

Betting on college football?

Ultimately, I expect Arizona to throw the ball all over the field as Kansas State tries to keep up with its rushing attack.

I'm not sure anyone can cover a touchdown spread in this game script.

THE GAME: Arizona +7 (-105, DraftKings).
