Louisville man arrested in connection with stolen vehicle investigation in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) – A Louisville man was arrested in connection with the investigation of a stolen vehicle in Paducah.

Tyrone L. Pearson, 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, was arrested for receiving stolen goods over $10,000, second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing and resisting arrest.

According to a press release from Paducah Police, they received an alert from their Flock system around 8 a.m. on September 13 about a possible stolen vehicle in the area of ​​Alben Barkley Drive.

Officers found the vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Lone Oak Road and stopped it.

They identified the driver as Pearson and learned that the vehicle had been rented in early July from a car dealership in Lexington, Kentucky, who later reported it stolen after it was not returned.

According to police, Pearson was belligerent throughout the traffic stop and refused to comply with officers' orders. They say he approached them in a threatening manner.

Officers used a taser on Pearson and arrested him.

Pearson was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
