1 arrested for “sextortion” of California teenager

A Los Angeles individual has been arrested for allegedly blackmailing a teenager, according to Marina police. Adrian Collazo-Marquez was arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly blackmailing a 16-year-old, Marina police said. A search warrant was served on Sept. 6 and Collazo-Marquez was taken into custody. Additional child sexual abuse material was also found on him, police said. The suspect was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail and will be extradited to the Monterey County Jail to face several criminal charges. “We encourage parents to talk to their children about the dangers of sharing personal information and images online,” Marina police said in a news release. A Los Angeles man was arrested for allegedly sexually extorting a teenager, according to Marina police.

Adrian Collazo-Marquez was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, Marina police said.

On September 6, a search warrant was issued and Collazo-Marquez was taken into custody. Additional child sexual abuse materials were also found on him, police said.

The suspect was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail and will be extradited to the Monterey County Jail to face several criminal charges.
