Harry Styles combined his new mullet with tried and tested sneakers

If you sensed a shift in the universe today, there may be a good reason: Harry Styles just sat front row at a London Fashion Week show for the first time in a decade, breaking his winning streak to support designer Steven Stokey-Daley's label SS Daley, a favorite of the pop star and his longtime stylist Harry Lambert.

Sitting next to fashionWith Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles in the front row, Styles dressed for the occasion in a tailored navy SS Daley set – with cream detailing and a knitted strawberry appliqué – alongside the designer's white ribbed 'Cochrane' top and a worn pair of black Vans Authentic lace-up shoes. Hear that distant voice in the distance pleading that Vans are back? It's just gotten a little louder.

Harry Styles has been an avid Vans wearer for years, even in his more upscale days. For the cover photoshoot for his latest LP, he wore platform Vans Authentics with a Molly Goddard peasant blouse and jeans Harry's House (he swapped them for a dainty pair of ballet flats in the official artwork) and continued to rock the classic sneakers throughout the fashion-forward album cycle – including when he wore a striped JW Anderson jumpsuit to perform Today in 2022. He swaps the Vans for a pair of Sambas every now and then, but it's a silhouette he keeps coming back to.

In contrast to the familiar shoes, Styles sported a new hairstyle. After shaving off his signature locks late last year, the pop star appears to be growing out his short haircut on the sides and back into a neat little mullet: the ingrown ends are pinned up at the nape of the neck, the top pinned up in a faux-hawk-like pose. The trendy mini mullet is making the rounds in the Hollywood heartthrob community and has already caught Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson and Drew Starkey in its clutches.
