South Glens Falls man guilty of murder of Albany musician

A jury found a South Glens Falls man guilty of murdering an Albany man.

Jeff Henderson was convicted of Kill Benjamin Rowewho graduated from Guilderland High School in 2015 and was a popular member of the Albany music scene.

Closing arguments were completed Friday afternoon and the jury deliberated briefly before finding him guilty of first-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm.

According to investigators, Rowe's murder was a random act of gun violence.

At sentencing on November 8, Henderson faces a prison sentence of 25 years to life.

Henderson was expected to plead guilty in April, but did not appear in court after police said he refused to board the bus in prison.
