Woman allegedly attacked victim with knife

JONESBORO, Arkansas (KAIT) – Police have arrested a Jonesboro woman after she allegedly attacked a man in his car following an argument.

On Friday, September 13, Craighead County District Judge David Boling found there was probable cause to charge 34-year-old Tieyann Borders with aggravated battery on a family or household member, third-degree domestic violence/with intent to cause personal injury, and first-degree malicious damage to property/damaging another's property valued at $1,000 or less.

According to the affidavit, Jonesboro police officers were called to a home at 4:56 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, because a domestic dispute had already occurred.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who said he had gone to pick up Borders.

The victim said Borders was still angry with him because of an argument they had earlier that day.

The victim stated that he was sitting in his vehicle and opened the door when Borders “pulled out a knife and began striking him with it.”

The affidavit states that the victim managed to grab Border's wrist, causing a small cut and damage to the interior of the vehicle.

According to police, the victim managed to push Borders back before fleeing the scene and abandoning his car.

The victim was able to return later and pick up his vehicle.

According to police, the incident was recorded on video using the victim's cell phone. The argument could not be seen on the video, but the audio recording worked.

Borders was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center where she is being held on $7,500 bail.

Borders' arraignment is scheduled for Monday, October 28.
