The Crow remake is now available on digital streaming – Here’s how to watch it at home

The remake of Brandon Lee's 1994 supernatural thriller starring Bill Skarsgård The Crow is new to digital streaming.

The son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, played the lead role in the original version of The Crow as Eric Draven, a rock musician who is brutally murdered along with Shelly (Sofia Shinas) the night before their wedding. A year after their murders, Eric rises in the form of a supernatural avenger known as The Crow to seek revenge on those responsible.

IT And John Wick: Chapter 4 Star Skarsgård plays Draven in a new adaptation of James O'Barr's hit 1989 comic book series of the same name, while FKA twigs stars as Shelly. Directed by Rupert Sanders. The Crow In the remake, Danny Huston also plays the role of the demonic crime boss Vincent Roeg.

Age rating R, The Crow will be released on digital streaming video on demand on Friday. The film can be purchased for $24.99 or rented for $19.99 for a 48-hour period on several digital platforms, including Prime Video. Other digital platforms offer The Crow on PVOD are AppleTV+ and VUDU.

The Crow makes a quick pivot to PVOD after a disastrous theatrical release.

Sanders says Lee's “soul is very much alive” in 'The Crow' remake

The production of The Crowwas unfortunately marred by the death of Brandon Lee in an accident involving a prop weapon on set in 1993.

In an interview with Vanity Fair In February, Rupert Sanders, the director of the “The Crow” remake, said that Lee’s death was a central theme during the filming of the new version with Bill Skarsgård.

“It was obviously a terrible tragedy, and that's definitely something that was always in the back of our minds while we were making the film,” Sanders told Vanity Fair. “Brandon was an original voice and I think he will always be synonymous with The Crow and I hope he is proud of what we have done and how we have revived history.

“His soul is very much alive in this film,” Sanders added. “There's a real fragility and beauty to his version of the Crow, and I think Bill feels like he's his successor.”

The Crow will be released on Friday as a PVOD debut.
