Clarksville shooting victim dies, suspect arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Clarksville police said the victim found shot on Ash Ridge Drive on Sept. 10 has died. Police added the suspect was arrested in Nashville.

Police identified the victim as Carlos Wills, 18, of Lebanon. Police said Wills was taken off life support Friday.

Wills was allegedly shot by 20-year-old Za'Kwon Jaterrion Holliday of Clarksville.

On Friday evening, Holliday was taken into custody after agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Metro Nashville Police Department conducted a traffic stop.

Clarksville police also want to speak with 19-year-old Davontay Tyrek Spencer, who police say was present at the time of the shooting.

“Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Davontay Spencer is asked to contact CPD,” police said. “Anyone with information or additional video footage is asked to contact them at (931) 648-0656, extension 5172.”
