July

  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations related to Ecuador, we shut down 89 YouTube channels. The campaign distributed content in Spanish about politics in Mexico and Ecuador.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations linked to companies operating in the United States, we blocked 10 domains from appearing on Google News and Discover pages. The influence operation campaign consisted of sharing content in English designed to persuade voters to run for elected office as independent candidates. We received tips from Meta, who assisted us with this investigation.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down 27 YouTube channels. The campaign shared content in English, Polish, French, and Russian that supported Russia and criticized Ukraine and Western institutions. We received leads from OpenAI, who assisted us with this investigation.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated Russia-related influence operations, we blocked 25 domains from appearing on Google News and Discover pages. The campaign was linked to the actor, who was publicly followed as a doppelgänger and shared content in English, German, and French about news and current events in the United States, Western Europe, Ukraine, Russia, and the Middle East.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down 26 YouTube channels. The campaign distributed content in Russian that supported Russia and criticized Ukraine and the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down a Blogger blog. The campaign was linked to the Internet Research Agency (IRA) and distributed content in Russian that supported Russia and criticized Ukraine.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down 34 YouTube channels and 1 ads account. The campaign distributed content in Russian, Spanish, German and English that supported Russia and criticized the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations linked to Russia, we shut down 18 YouTube channels that distributed content in English that supported Russia and criticized the United States.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down five YouTube channels that distributed content in French, Arabic and Spanish that supported Russia and criticized the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down 12 YouTube channels and 1 ads account. The campaign distributed content in Polish, German, Italian, English, Hungarian, Czech and Dari that supported Russia and criticized the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations with ties to Russia, we shut down 7,319 YouTube channels. The campaign was linked to a Russian consulting company and distributed content in Russian that supported Russia and was critical of Ukraine and the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations related to Russia, we blocked 13 domains from appearing on Google News and Discover pages. The campaign distributed content in English that supported Russia and was critical of Ukraine and the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations related to Russia, we blocked seven domains from appearing on Google News and Discover pages. The campaign distributed content in Russian that supported Russia and was critical of Ukraine and the West.
  • As part of our investigation into coordinated influence operations related to Azerbaijan, we shut down 583 YouTube channels. The campaign distributed content in Azerbaijani that supported Azerbaijan and criticized Armenia and the Azerbaijani government.
  • As part of our ongoing investigation into coordinated influence operations related to the People's Republic of China (PRC), we shut down 5,554 YouTube channels and 15 Blogger blogs and blocked 4 domains from appearing on Google News and Discover pages. The coordinated, inauthentic network uploaded content in Chinese and English about China and U.S. foreign policy. These findings are consistent with our previous reports.
